i had the pleasure of exhibiting next to alexandra last year and since have always admired her beautiful jewelry. her taste is absolutely exquisite and her adorable shop in federal hill is a must-visit! she is the perfect vendor to go to for all of your bridal jewelry and gifts. i can’t wait to see the necklace she is doing for me with my kids’ initial charms. check out her website and blog for lots more of her fabulous gems.

2011 favorites!

as i’m ending my day trying to wrap up some great new save the date designs and some of my spring wedding invitation packages i am also looking back a bit! 2011 was fabulous to me – it kept me extremely busy and grateful to be able to work with such amazing couples and to bring the vision they had for their wedding to life. i’m shutting down tomorrow – no designing, no email, no facebook, no blog – to focus on photo editing in preparation of loading all of my 2011 designs onto my website. this is a big job but i love getting the chance to go back through the year and re-live some of these designs. i especially LOVE going through all of the amazing photography sent in from clients and photographers. so here are some of my favorites invites from this year and be sure to check the site (there will be an announcement!) for all of my new work soon.

oh and i must thank the always amazing laura black photography for spending hours with me shooting all of my work!

Well it was one busy summer of production for us and i’ve been enjoying booking lots of new spring/summer brides. I’m also working on some big fall/winter projects – photographing, editing and loading all of my new work (over 27 weddings) onto the site so you can see the latest custom designs. I’m also busy building my new & improved production room in my home studio – its coming along well and can’t wait to hire an intern to work in the new space. In the meantime, check out the latest reviews on wedding wire. I’ll be sure to keep the blog, wedding wire and facebook pages fresh with new pictures.

brian & whitney planned a picture-perfect july wedding at the gorgeous antrim 1844 country house – which was the couple’s inspiration for their grey & pink custom designs. both share a love of horse racing, so we infused the reception with some subtle horse-themed touches — molded chocolate favors, racetrack named tables, & cast iron horseshoe escort cards. enjoy these stunning photographs from their wedding day.

i’m starting a new blog feature – ‘messages from a bride’ – here i will post some of the great feedback/emails that i get from brides (grooms too!) regarding their invitations & reception items. it is a privilege to be able to do what you love each and every day, its messages like these that continue to reinforce my passion for design! enjoy reading and the snapshot of a sneak peak of her invitation design. a simple, classy black & white package adorned with branches and lovebirds, we did an awesome black envelope and custom address wrap. look for rachel’s full package on the site this summer.

A special thank you to the team at Truffles Catering at the Belvedere! They put together an incredible Open House last Sunday – tons of phenomenal vendors, so so so many great brides (grooms too) and a beautiful showcase of their many historic ballrooms and event spaces.
